In a strange but amusing scene, a monkey and a chicken were caught fighting over food at a rural farm earlier today, leaving onlookers both surprised and entertained.
The monkey, believed to have wandered in from nearby trees, spotted a bowl of fruit and grains set out for the chickens. However, one brave hen was not about to share without a challenge.
Witnesses say the two animals engaged in a back-and-forth scuffle—pecks, grabs, and loud noises filling the air—as they wrestled over pieces of banana and corn.
Farm owner Lucy Martin laughed, “I’ve seen chickens fight each other, but never a monkey. It was like a scene from a cartoon.”
Eventually, the monkey managed to grab a snack and scampered up a tree, while the chicken proudly reclaimed the food tray.
While the showdown ended without harm, experts remind locals to be cautious when wild animals approach domestic areas, especially over food.
