Country Star Pat Green Reveals Devastating Personal Loss In Texas Flood Tragedy

Country music star Pat Green is mourning a personal tragedy following the devastating Texas floods over the July 4 weekend. Catastrophic flash flooding along the Guadalupe River claimed dozens of lives and destroyed homes, camps, and communities.

In an emotional Instagram post, Pat revealed that his family suffered a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.” His wife, Kori Green, later shared that Pat’s younger brother John, his wife Julia, and two of their children were swept away in the Kerrville flood. John and Julia have been confirmed dead; their children remain missing.

The floods hit Central Texas hard, especially Kerr County, where 87 deaths, including 30 children, have been reported. Camp Mystic, a summer camp in the area, lost 27 campers and counselors.

Water levels in the Guadalupe River rose over 20 feet in under 90 minutes, overwhelming communities. As of July 8173 people are still missing, and both state and federal emergency responses are underway.

Governor Greg Abbott and President Donald Trump have declared disaster areas in more than 20 counties. Search efforts continue with support from the Texas National GuardBorder Patrol, and Black Hawk helicopters.
